IFIM Becomes NASSCOM’s 1st Licensed Training Partner In Karnataka

Recently, IFIM achieved another milestone in its journey towards becoming the most sought after destination for management education by forging a promising new partnership with NASSCOM. 


NASSCOM is a not-for-profit industry association and is the apex body for the US$ 154 -billion-dollar IT and BPM (Business Process Management) industry in India. NASSCOM has over 2300 members who constitute 90% of the IT and BPM industry’s revenue.




IFIM and NASSCOMM announced their partnership at a press conference that was held on July 13 in Bangalore. Faculty members of IFIM Business School were present at the conference along with Mr. Sanjay Padode, Secretary of CDE, IFIM and Dr. Abhishek Nirjar, Director, IFIM Business School. NASSCOMM was represented by Dr. Sandhya Chintala, Executive Director & Vice President, NASSCOM. Mr. Sameer Dhanrajani, Chief Strategy Officer, Fractal Analytics was the Guest of Honour.

Currently, Big Data and Business Analytics are the most sought after skills in the job market. As automation, Artificial Intelligence, IoT, etc. continue to disrupt industries, analytical skills have assumed paramount importance.


The guiding motive for IFIM to join hands with NASSCOM is to train 10,000 Business Analytics professionals in India. With this partnership, IFIM becomes the 1st Licensed Training Partner for NASSCOM in Karnataka. Faculty and students of the institution stand to gain from this alliance as it will give them access to a platform that imparts knowledge in Analytics, a domain in dire need of skilled professionals.  This arrangement operates on a knowledge transfer model wherein information on Big Data and Business Analytics will pass from NASSCOM to the faculty and then from the faculty to the students. The courses offered under this alliance will equip the graduates of the program with skills for jobs in Data Science, Analytics and IT Recruitment. The association will also encourage other educational institutions to sign up with IFIM to avail the benefits of the NASSCOM training program. This program is positioned at Level 7 (equivalent to PG level) in National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF). Furthermore, IFIM and NASSCOM have crafted a unique Train The Trainer’ model for imparting skills through various courses. 


Dr. Sandhya Chintala, Executive Director & Vice President, NASSCOM praised IFIM for facilitating this skilling exercise. She said “Enabling students with both the foundational and high end requirements of Data Science and Big Data Analytics is a strategic move for IFIM. Students will learn about various statistical and mathematical techniques used to combine data for gaining insights.”



Guest of Honour Mr.Sameer Dhanrajani lauded the IFIM-NASSCOM association citing that the partnership will standardise the Analytics and Data Science industry.
